This video provides some basic, but important, advice to pre-school coaches.
I especially related to the “Think about what you are saying” section about using clear & specific instructions. She uses the example phrase that coaches tend to use – “jump down from the bar” – which often prompts some kids to actually kick their legs… really, what we mean is “let go of the bar and land in your safety landing position”!
