Who doesn’t love a themed tag variation?!
This tag game works great as a warm up for your recreational age gymnastics classes.
It gets kids moving, for sure.
The concept is pretty simple – everyone is a “heart” and they need to run from the “arrows” who are it. If they get tagged, their heart is broken! They must freeze on one foot (or in a V-sit).
Hearth can only be healed by one person chosen to be Cupid. Cupid can unfreeze the hearts by giving them a Valentine (with a written exercise task on the card). Once the heart is done the task, they are no longer heartbroken and can resume running from the arrows! Switch up the roles every few minutes.
There is a little bit of prep involved (writing exercises on the Valentines cards), but otherwise easy to run!
Watch the video explanation here and then give it a try!
